You have better luck with your traps than we did. Our little paddock here in France needs mowing (often) and mole-hills - made from our stony soil - play havoc with the mower blades. We had a choice of gas-cartridges or explosive cartridges. An explosive one went off early - so I'm now deaf (permanently)! Despite feeling a bit queasy about using gas, the cartridges work. And, they prevent rabbits from making burrows using mole runs as starter-points. So we're doubly relieved.
